The Pope careened down nearby Brunswick St in 1988 as part of his Bicentennial Oz Tour. I was in bed and missed it. A few nights after I saw from my balcony a group of opiate enthusiasts waiting in a car. A mental collage followed and the pope and the junkies lost.
