about

I'd possibly just seen the scarifying film Come and See which ends with a montage of a photo of Hitler being shot with a rifle by the main character. It's an extremely powerful scene which forces questions of how the carnage of the second world war came about. My response was to imagine lines that a would be demagogue might use to arouse mass support. This wasn't intended ironically. It was an attempt to get into the mind of a meglomaniac and see what I found. The music has a fanfare, parade like thrust. We recorded it again but it had lost its punch.
