I was writing the Great Australian Novel back in 1988 (no, I haven't heard of it, either) and started inserting a figure from a childrens story, the tarbaby, but as a kind of horror character. I think I mixed that in with various mumbled quotes from Revelation to give it a BIG DARK MOOD. I'm pretty sure all that came after finding this riff and just playing it forever. Here it is without edits.
Done on Greg W's Portastudio in 1988. I can't remember if I had plans to turn this into anything more than what it is here (a riff with breaks and bible quotes and mumbles about the tar baby).
I did very little editing on this as it was a direct multitrack digitisation of the original 4-track cassette and the only tape damage was on the source. Very few effects but some were necessary to bring it back a pace from the ear fatiguing mid range that was already there (and which would have been EQed out to dub on to cassette. Anyway...

Music by Peter Jetnikoff 1988. I won't try to claim the words from Revelation and I think the Tar Baby is an Uncle Remus story.
Me on a borrowed clone of a Gibson Explorer, my flatmate's Vantage Bass, a Farfisa organ drum machine.
